Introducing DocuThink: The First Document Platform Built for Comprehension
Today we're launching DocuThink beta. Here's why we built it, what makes it different, and what's coming next.
Introducing DocuThink: The First Document Platform Built for Comprehension
Today, we're opening DocuThink to our first beta users.
We've spent the last year building something we couldn't find anywhere else: a document platform that doesn't just help you share documents it helps your team understand them.
Why We Built This
It started with a frustrating pattern we kept seeing across companies we worked with.
Teams were drowning in documents. Notion wikis, Google Drive folders, Slack-shared PDFs. More content than anyone could read. And yet, the same problems kept appearing:
- New hires spending weeks figuring out things that were "documented"
- Decisions made on incomplete information because someone skimmed the brief
- Compliance failures because a policy update was "sent to everyone"
- Sales reps walking into calls without truly understanding the deck they were presenting
The documents existed. The understanding didn't.
What DocuThink Does
DocuThink is a layer between your documents and your team's comprehension. Here's what that looks like in practice:
AI-Powered Reading Experience
Every document imported into DocuThink becomes interactive. Team members can select any passage and instantly get:
- A plain-language explanation
- A concise summary
- A concrete real-world example
No more re-reading a paragraph five times hoping it clicks.
Real-Time Reading Analytics
For the first time, you can see not just who opened a document, but how they engaged with it. Time spent, sections re-read, scroll depth — all available in a clean dashboard.
Three statuses, no ambiguity: Read. Skimmed. Unread.
Comprehension Tests
After reading, team members can take an AI-generated test based on the exact content of the document. You see individual scores. You know who understood — and who needs support.
Audio Comments
The feature nobody else has. Leave voice comments on specific passages. Your team hears your explanation in context, with the right tone, without the ambiguity of written feedback.
Google Drive & Slack Integration
Import documents directly from Google Drive. Send notifications through Slack. DocuThink fits into your existing workflow — it doesn't replace it.
Who It's For
DocuThink is built for teams where understanding matters:
Startup teams who need new hires to actually absorb technical documentation.
Sales teams who need reps to truly master the pitch before the client call.
Legal & compliance teams who need to certify that policy changes were understood, not just received.
Managers who send weekly reports and want to know they're being read.
What's Next
We're launching with core features today. Here's what's on the roadmap:
- Dropbox and Microsoft Teams integration
- Multi-document workspaces
- Comprehension score history and trends
- Team-level analytics dashboards
- API access for enterprise teams
