How do I import my first document?
Connect your Google Drive or upload a PDF/Word file directly. Processing takes 30 to 60 seconds.
Which formats are supported?
PDF files — uploaded directly or imported from Google Drive.
How do I invite my team?
Go to Workspace (options) → Share → Invite. Enter the email address and choose the Reader or Admin role.
Features
How does AI Q&A work?
Select any passage from the document and request an action (summarise, explain, give an example) or ask your question directly via the AI chat. The AI answers in context, relying solely on the document content.
How are comprehension tests generated?
The AI analyses the document and automatically generates 10 to 20 relevant questions based on the pages already read. You can review them before activating.
What is the difference between "Read", "Skimmed" and "Unread"?
Read = reading time consistent with the document length + full scroll. Skimmed = opened but insufficient time or incomplete scroll. Unread = not opened.
Integrations
How do I connect Google Drive?
Add new document → Choose Google Drive → Connect Google Drive. We only request read access we never modify your Drive files.
Does DocuThink modify my Google Drive files?
No — never. Read access only.
What does the Slack integration do?
Slack is a notification integration — it alerts your team when a document is shared or when a teammate completes a reading. It is not used to import documents.
I'm not receiving Slack notifications.
Check that the DocuThink bot is installed in your Slack workspace and that the required permissions are granted.
Security & Privacy
Are my documents safe?
Yes. TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest. Hosted on SOC 2 / ISO 27001 certified infrastructure.
Does DocuThink use my documents to train its AI?
No. Your documents are never used to train our models.
How long are my documents retained?
Your documents are deleted 7 days after you remove them from DocuThink.
Pricing & Beta
Is it really free during the beta?
Yes — no credit card required. All features are accessible free of charge during the beta period.
What happens after the beta?
Early adopters will benefit from a preferential lifetime rate. You will be notified before any pricing change.
Is there a limit on documents or users during the beta?
No — no limits during the beta.
Common Issues
My document won't import what should I do?
Check that the file is under 50 MB and in a supported format. If the problem persists, contact contact@docuthink.com.
